Luna's Story
Meet Luna – A Little Star with a Big Personality

Luna is a 4-year-old black beauty with a striking white patch on her chest and an adorable short tail that gives her a look all her own. She's ready to leave her past behind and finally shine in a forever home where she can enjoy life as more than just a mama.

When Luna arrived at the rescue, she had been left in a carrier outside a veterinary hospital with her kitten (Moonpie) and 11 other cats. Despite her young age, Luna has already raised at least three litters. She's spent much of her life caring for others, and now she's learning what it means to simply be a cat — exploring, lounging, and choosing how and when she wants affection.

Luna is independent, curious, and quietly observant. She loves sitting in windows, keeping a watchful eye on the world outside, and she has a delightful quirky side too. Luna is fascinated by mirrors and will happily admire her own reflection, and we even find her perched in the sink from time to time, as if it's her personal throne.

She tolerates petting, especially around the head and neck, but belly rubs are a firm no — and she's not shy about letting you know when she's had enough. Luna has a confident, sassy streak and a strong sense of self, so she'll do best with an experienced cat owner who appreciates a cat with boundaries and respects her independence.

Mealtime is important to Luna, and she has no problem voicing her opinions if dinner is late. She does well with other cats who give her space and aren't overly dominant, and with the right setup, she could thrive in a calm, respectful multi-cat home.

Luna is a survivor, a devoted mom, and now a cat discovering herself for the first time. If you have room in your heart, a sunny window, and maybe a mirror or two, Luna just might be the perfect companion for you. Her adoption fee has been reduced in hopes of helping her find the loving forever home she truly deserves.

Cats are negative for FelV/FIV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption).

All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion.

Location: Bolton, CT
Adoption Fee: $150
