Lumi's Story

Meet LUMI ! Lumi is a sweet-as-sugar beautiful torti girl who loves to makes biscuits and is a purring machine! She is approximately 3 years old, and was found in an industrial area of Pompano Beach in late September 2025 by a Good Samaritan. She was emaciated and dehydrated and with an upper respiratory infection. During her recovery process it was discovered that Lumi suffered some damage to her sinuses likely from an untreated URI. Although she will not recover from this, it does not compromise her ability to breathe or her overall health. Lumi is a wonderful kitty who prefers to be the only kitty so she can give and receive all of the love and cuddles. Lumi is spayed, microchipped and fully vetted and just waiting for her purrrfect human to cuddle up on and give all of her love to! Wouldn't you love to give Lumi her home for the holidays?

Cat Tales From The Streets, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Prospective adopters are required to complete an Adoption Application, to include references and veterinary information, landlord information if renting their home. If approved, a "meet and greet" and home check are scheduled, and if all is good, we move forward with adoption. Adopters are informed that there is a 30-day waiting period AFTER they have adopted the cat/kitten before the microchip is transferred from the organization name to the adopter's name. This is a safety protocol I require for the protection of the cat first and foremost, but also so that the adopter knows that if for any reason during that 30-day time period, they feel this cat/kitten will not be a good fit for the lifetime of the cat/kitten, I can take the cat back into rescue without issue. I then revisit with the adopter to see that all is still well.
