Lulu's Story
Please pardon the blurry photos, but Lulu is just so excited to be rescued and living safely indoors, she can’t contain herself! This girl LOVES people and loves to cuddle. While she might look at first glance like “just” a plain brown tabby, when you see her in person she’s beautiful—she’s got a gorgeous stripey coat and big, yellow eyes. This sweet girl is a gem who would fit well in just about any home.

Lulu is about 1.5-2 years old, and is now spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested negative for FIV/feline leukemia and microchipped. She was rescued from a feral cat colony living in an alley in SW Baltimore City.

She’s got lots of playful energy, and she’s got a great purr motor! She does sometimes get overstimulated when being petted and can get a little love-bitey, but she’s pretty gentle about it and it’s improving as she settled into her foster home.

She is currently living with a 10-year-old child and does well with him, so should be fine with other kids 10+ who know how to be gentle with animals, but she’s likely not a good match for young kids. She tolerates the other cats in her foster home—doesn’t necessarily want to be besties, but she’s OK with sharing space. She seems to prefer the male cat in the home over the female cat, however. (She’d also likely be fine as an only cat.) She is living with cat-friendly dogs in her foster home, and again, doesn’t necessarily want to be friends with them, but can co-exist.

She’s currently in a foster home in Sykesville in Carroll County (although she could come back to Baltimore to meet prospective adopters if needed). Lulu is not part of Walter Rescue but is being listed here as a courtesy. For more information, visit https://bit.ly/pigtowncats or email eharty@gmail.com.
