Luke's Story

Luke and his sister Leia were rescued from a backyard in West New York, NJ, where the two 6 month old kittens were often spotted playing together, and growing braver each day thanks to the care and kindness of neighbors who looked out for them. When a foster home opened up, Luke and Leia were finally able to be scooped up and brought to safety. Over the last few weeks, they’ve been adjusting to indoor life, discovering the joys of soft bedding, full bowls, and regular affection.

Tuxedo Luke is a gentle, playful kitten who loves romping around with his sister, but he’s naturally a bit more shy and reserved. He’s been making steady progress in foster care and will thrive with a patient adopter who can offer him love, encouragement, and the time he needs to fully open up.

Luke would do best being adopted with another kitten from our rescue (especially his more outgoing sister Leia) or joining a home that already has a friendly young cat to help him feel secure and keep him company.

Your adoption fee includes the following: Neutering, deworming, flea treatment, FVRCP vaccines, rabies vaccine, microchip, and SNAP testing.

If you’re ready to give Luke the safe, loving home he deserves, he’s ready to meet you!

Submit an application on our website at https://www.findyourcatpanion.org/our-adoptables/adopt-a-cat or contact us adopt@findyourcatpanion.org

Purrfect Catpanion's Adoption Policy
We are very happy to help you find your next catpanion, please fill out our adoption application below to get started. The next step in the process will be a home visit or a video call, during which we will be looking to assess if the environment is safe to receive a cat. Some things we are looking for: - Windows in every room are secured to prevent the cats escaping. - Is the home ready to receive the kitty: litter box, food & water bowl areas, cat food available, etc. - Are there other pets that could potentially cause harm to the kitty? If other pets are present, they must all be fully vetted (Spayed/Neutered and Vaccinations up-to-date) This is not a 1-step process, we want to make sure the adoption is a purrfect match for everyone involved. All adoptions will incur an adoption fee: $200-$250 Your fee covers all vetting: Vaccinations, Deworming, Flea treatments, Neuter/Spaying, microchipping, etc.
