Luke's Story

Hi, I'm Luke!

I'm a 5-year-old orange boy with a big heart and a whole lot of love to give. I've been through some pretty tough things in my life, but I haven't let any of it stop me from being one of the sweetest boys around.

Before I was rescued, I suffered some serious injuries. My vet believes I may have been thrown from a building or a car. I had a large abscess, and my paws had previously been broken and healed fused together. But don't worry—I'm not in pain, and I can still get around just fine! I just have a cute little silly walk that makes me extra special.

You'd never guess I had such a difficult past when you meet me. I LOVE people! Give me pets and I'll start purring away. I even love belly rubs and being loved on all over. After everything I've experienced, all I really want now is a safe home and a family who will love me forever.

I'm currently hanging out at PetSmart in Bridgewater, New Jersey, waiting for my person to find me. I think I've waited long enough for my happily ever after, don't you?

If you think I could be your new best friend, apply for me.

If you have questions about me, please email beaconofhoperescue@gmail.com

To complete an application, go to www.beaconofhoperescue.com and click 'Adoption Application' at the top.
