Lucy's Story

An approved adoption application is required to meet me in my foster home -- fill out an application today! Our mailing address is Reston, VA and our cats fostered in NoVA and DC homes.
Washington, D.C.- Suburban Virginia/Maryland Area inquiries only, please!

Here's Lucy! This sweet, talkative, funny girl is looking for a home of her own, and is happy to pay rent in pets and snuggles! She is very affectionate and playful, equally happy to cuddle you in bed or surprise you with a stealth toy delivery during the night ! Lucy loves to keep a watchful eye on the birds and squirrels outside, kick a ball all around the house, and then settle in for a nap after making biscuits (be sure and look at the video of her hard at work). When she's generally content (which is nearly all the time), she'll give you the cutest slow blink and a little shake of her tail.

Lucy's story is proof of Feline Foundation's commitment that once a kitty is brought into the rescue, they are always a part of our family. She came to FFGW as a kitten from the streets of Puerto Rico in the summer of '19. She was quickly adopted and had many loving years with her adopter. Sadly though, her adopter recently passed away and the family had to make the difficult decision to rehome Lucy. They knew that FFGW was the first place they were supposed to turn in that situation - once an FFGW cat, always an FFGW cat.

Lucy will do best in a home without other animals, where she can adore her humans and they can give her the adulation she deserves! So do You Love Lucy

and are you ready to open your home to her?
