Lucy's Story

Lucy is living it up in foster care, but her current foster parent is traveling for around 6 weeks at the beginning of June, and thus she'll need a foster transfer/sitter by then to avoid returning to the shelter! If you're a current/approved foster with PAWS and can help Lucy out, please email foster@phillypaws.org to chat more! Luci can either be transferred long-term (until adoption) or for the 6 weeks her foster is away. She needs a pet-free, child-free space.

------------------------------------
MORE ADOPTION INFORMATION BELOW:

Lovely little Lucy is the best roommate you'll ever have!

Lucy is a friendly, affectionate little cat who is equally happy being the center of attention and being left to her own devices. She loves lolling around in the sun, kneading soft surfaces to just the right texture for the perfect snooze, bounding through the house in search of springs, and winding around you in purry elation while you sit on the ground and scratch behind her ears. She's also become quite the cuddle bug. It's impressive how big of a purr can come from such a little cat!

As far as roommates go, it's hard to find a more considerate one than Lucy. She's tidy and great about furniture, and grazes on her food. Since she has allergies and suspected asthma, her skin and lungs are sensitive, so she takes a liquid steroid (just a tiny bit!) every other day to keep her comfortable and uses an inhaler a couple times daily to help her lungs stay happy and comfortable. She's a real trooper about both. She's even been spotted purring while using the inhaler!

Lucy loves meeting new people, especially those that know exactly the best places to scratch her chin. She's a bit nervous at first in new situations, but give her a calm, quiet environment for her to explore and warm up to you at her own pace, and she quickly shows off how friendly and loving she can be! She's great about politely communicating her needs if a situation becomes too much for her. Treat her with love and respect, and she'll do the same to you!

If you've got a pet-free space with one cat-sized vacancy, Lucy may well be your girl!

**Lucy can go home with 3 months' worth of her medication!**
