Lucy's Story

Lovely little Lucy is the best roommate you'll ever have!

Lucy is an affectionate little cat who loves attention, but doesn't mind being left to her own devices. She can usually be found hanging out nearby you and staring up at you with gorgeous green eyes, claiming a spot on your lap, or winding around you in purry elation while you sit on the ground and pet her. She's also practicing her Olympic sprints in search of springs!

As far as roommates go, it's hard to find a more easy-going one than Lucy. She's great with furniture, tidy, and grazes on food. Since she has allergies and suspected asthma, her skin and lungs are sensitive, so she takes a daily liquid steroid (just a tiny bit!) to keep her comfortable and uses an inhaler a couple times daily to help her lungs stay happy and comfortable. She's a real trooper about both. Her meows are quiet and rare, but her purrs are steady and frequent.

She's a bit nervous at first in new situations, but give her a calm, quiet environment for her to explore and warm up to you at her own pace, and she quickly shows off how friendly and loving she can be! She's very good at gently communicating her boundaries. Treat her with love and respect, and she'll do the same to you!

If you've got a pet-free space with one cat-sized vacancy, Lucy may well be your girl!

**Lucy can go home with 3 months' worth of her medication!**

------------------------------------

This cat is currently located in a PAWS foster home. Please email their foster parent at katelynhefter@gmail.com to learn more about them!

In order to meet any cats in foster care, you will need to have an approved application first. To get the adoption process started, please submit an adoption application online at phillypaws.org/catapp.

If you have any questions for our adoption team, feel free to email adoptions@phillypaws.org or call 215-238-9901 ext. 30.
