Lucy's Story

Hi, everyone! My name is Lucy, and I'm a beautiful orange/white female kitty, who's just waiting for the purr-fect human to come along and adopt me! I'm here with my entire family--brother, sisters, and all of our kittens. We had a home but we were all brought to the shelter because there was so many of us and our person could no longer care for us, and now we are in need of loving homes. I'm a little shy at first, but I'm cute and cuddly, and I love to have fun and play! It would be great to be adopted with one of my housemates, so that I will always have a furry friend and companion. Plus, we're all friends and love each other. I must be an indoor-only cat to keep me safe from the many outside dangers that could hurt me. Lots of toys, a friend to play with, and a comfy bed would be enough to keep me happy and content. I've already been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, so I'm ready to go. If you're looking for a feline companion and you can provide a FOREVER home, here I am! Please come meet me today!

Caddo Parish Animal Services's Adoption Policy

We have many great pets available for adoption at our shelter and during our offsite adoption events. We welcome you to visit our animals and adopt a pet today! There is no resident location requirement to adopt a pet from us. We have a friendly staff that will assist you in locating a compatible pet for your home and family. To adopt a pet you simply fill out an adoption application and contract. The contract is a promise from you that you will provide your new pet with a great home where it will be loved and provided for. All of our adoption pets have undergone a health exam and are current on all vaccinations. The adult animals have been Rabies vaccinated and go out with a rabies tag. To support our mission, our adult animals are spayed or neutered before adoption. Potential pet adopters must conduct a meet and greet with desired animal prior to completing the adoption process. This information provides staff with a better understanding of the pet adopter's past animal history, their expectations for a pet, lifestyle, and the environment in which a new animal would be placed.
