Lucy 's Story
Hi… I’m Lucy

I’m just one year old, and I wear a sleek, shiny black coat that glows in the light—except for one tiny white speck on my chest that makes me a little bit special. My green eyes are big and soulful, and they’re always looking for someone who will stop, look back at me, and choose me.

I love people. Truly. Being close to humans is my favorite thing in the whole world. I crave affection and attention, and I’m not shy about it—I’ll rub against you, lean into your hands, and even try to climb into your arms just to be closer. Petting, cuddles, love… that’s where I’m happiest.

Right now, though, I’m in a shelter cage, and I’ve got a unique situation. I have a wound on my left hip, not awful and it’s healing up nicely- but because of that there is a 45 day confinement procedure that has to be followed. That means I need to stay confined until March 7th. That confinement could be in a quiet home—especially one without other pets—and that would mean everything to me. Being a social, loving girl, staying in a cage has been really hard and I certainly don’t want to have to do that until March 7th when all I want is to love and be loved.

I’m spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, and ready for my fresh start. All I need now is someone willing to open their heart and their home, even just to help me finish this confinement period.

I promise I’ll give you endless affection, comfort, and devotion in return.
