Lucy's Story

Lucy is a beautiful striped tabby with sparkling yellow/green eyes and a heart of gold. Lucy is playful and adventurous. She especially loves pom-pom toys and carries them around with her. She also loves mice and ball toys and is a soccer champ. When Lucy tuckers out, she is a snuggle-bug who cuddles up to her people. She is a true lap cat and loves to snooze in your lap or right next to you. Lucy loves to nap in the sunshine with her bestie, Tilly, and is an avid bird-watcher. Lucy would thrive in a home with another kitten/cat, especially her BFF Tilly.

Contra Costa Humane Society's Adoption Policy

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep. If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted! Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 171 Mayhew Way, Suite 101 in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens).
