Lucy's Story

This is Lucy (born Aug 2014). She was adopted as a kitten and returned to us last year as other cats in the house were picking on her. Lucy came to us with a thyroid disease but was unable to tolerate any of the medications or foods for it. She was declining fast but our veterinarian decided to remove her thyroid to see if it would save her life. It worked! She went from under 5lb to this gorgeous girl. Lucy is shy. She has her moments of wanting to be sweet but gets nervous, overstimulated, and may swat. She does have a sensitive stomach so keeping the same diet is important. She likes treats, even the Churu type. She may be more of a roommate for a new owner but she deserves a warm bed and love on her terms for the rest of her life. She is spayed, vaccinated, and FIV/FeLV negative. She does not need any medications or further care for her thyroid issue. She can live with other cats as long as they are passive. Children can frighten her but teens would be okay. No dogs.
