Lucy's Story
Meet Cindy, a sweet adult domestic shorthair believed to have been born in December 2023. Cindy was found as a stray on BAAP property, so her past is a bit of a mystery—but what we do know is that she’s a gentle, kind-hearted girl who is learning every day that people can be wonderful. Cindy is a little timid and shy at first, so she would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace. Once she feels safe, her affectionate side shines through—she loves being petted, enjoys wet food, and is slowly discovering how fun toys can be! She’s still building confidence and trust, making every small milestone extra special. Cindy is looking for an indoor-only home where she can feel secure. With proper introductions, she could live happily with other cats, dogs, or calm, respectful children who understand her gentle nature. If you have a peaceful home and a patient heart, Cindy may be the perfect companion—a quiet friend who will reward your kindness with trust, affection, and soft purrs. Cindy is spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, de-wormed, and negative for FIV/FelV.

Note: To adopt, you must live within approximately 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age.
