He could not even lift his head when he was rescued by Laurel Cats. He spent a week in the animal hospital before being sent home with a foster. He had painful sores in his mouth that made him unable to eat without help. For a week, his foster used a syringe to feed him two meals a day. He did not want to be restrained and fought to be free but once he figured out that he was being fed he climbed into his foster's lap and ate without restraint. He never scratched or truly fought it even when he had recovered his full strength. He has since FULLY recovered and is ready to go home with YOU.

Lucky is the sweetest boy who wants to be your lapcat. He purrs and enjoys being held and cuddled. He loves to be pet and enjoys scritches too.

He good with the young kids (ages 7 and 3 years old) in the home but is scared of the foster human's dog. He is friendly with the other cats in the home. He wouldn't mind being an only cat as long as his human has time for snuggles.

He has a VERY strong preference to clay litter so be sure to use that. Once the foster figured that out he has had perfect litter box manners ever since. He only eats wet food and often prefers it mixed with water but his preferences may change once he notices that his mouth no longer causes him pain.

You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt from us.

We accept online/electronic credit or debit card pre-payments for adoptions (no cash).

NOTE: Please do not ask us to HOLD a cat/kitten for you. Our space is very limited as we don't have a facility.

Laurel Cats does not have a shelter or storefront. Our kittens and cats are placed in the homes of loving volunteer fosters until they are adopted. This means our cats are accustomed to being handled and loved. Please ask questions if you're interested in any of our cats
