Lucas's Story
Meet Lucas, an 8 year old sweet boy who was abandoned outside last year. He is very laid back, calm, very affectionate and gentle. We call him a gentle giant as he is a big boy and has a unique color pattern. Once he gets to know you he loves to be petted, cuddled, and especially getting brushed. He would do well in a home by himself or with one other chill adult cat. He is very easy going and would make a very special and loving cat.

Lucas was diagnosed with heartworms, which is very rare in cats. There is a risk that his condition will worsen which would require him going to an emergency vet. He will need to have follow up x-rays every year. He may never have an adverse reaction from the heartworms, but the risk is there. He requires a simple monitoring of his breathing a few times a week.

Apply online at cnycatcoalition.org/adoption/adoption-application (say you saw the cat on Petfinder).

Your donation of $120 will contribute to the cost of veterinary treatments the cat has received, such as spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccines, testing, microchipping, deworming medication, and flea and ear mite treatments.

Adoption includes a free lifetime microchip registration!

CNYCC is a New York State Registered Shelter/Rescue, Registration Number: RR099
