LuLu (bonded with Lumiere)'s Story

I, along with my sister Lumiere, were dumped in a kill shelter in North Carolina this summer and it was the worst! They were totally gonna kill us because they had no more room. That's when the kind folks at Fur Real NYC stepped in and saved us. Now we're in New York looking for a fresh start together.

I'm shy at first, and a bit introverted, but very affectionate and loving, and will warm up to you pretty quickly. I haven't let the events of the last several months get me down. I'm still a very happy and content cat and am hopeful for the future for me and my sister.

Even if you can't adopt us, maybe you would consider fostering us. The rescue people are really struggling. They don't have enough money to buy food, they don't have space, and they don't have time for more rescued kitties like us, but they still saved me and my sister from being killed at that shelter. So having a nice place to stay where we'll be well cared for while we wait for a home would also help out a lot right now. Because the rescue people won't be able to take really good care of us, even though they're trying their best.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Bonus video when we were first sprung from the shelter:
https://youtu.be/N65QM1NyNiM?si=ZgnVyma14-Q3QPFN
