Louis's Story

How do you do? I'm Louis, a hearty tuxedo boy around ~4 years old give or take. I came in as a stray at just the right time with the frigid temperatures this winter and I'm ready to go to a safe, loving home. I've got a few stories to tell after being on my own for a bit, so please give me some time to come out of my shell and warm up. I find a variety of treats tasty and a good gentle pet right between my ears from time to time. Think we could be besties?

Animal Protective Foundation's Adoption Policy

Our dedicated staff and volunteers will help you find the perfect match. Browse the animals online first, or just stop in during our shelter hours. Your first step to adopting a pet is to complete an adoption questionnaire available at the shelter. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt without a parent or guardian. Bring a form of identification with current address, such as a driver’s license. If renting property or living with a parent, you will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. We will contact the homeowner for verification. Once a staff member has reviewed your adopter questionnaire, you can spend some time with the animals. Pets are an important part of the family, so if at all possible, all family members should be part of the process.
