Loosey's Story
Loosey is such a sweet girl who just can't get enough chin scratches and belly rubs; she is also an expert head-butter and purr machine. She is still very shy, and prefers to hide out quietly in a cubby or take her place high above us, so I really feel she needs a quiet companion as she seems lonely. She is not at all aggressive and LOVES human attention, she's just not ready to be social in a busy setting, which our shelter clearly is. I would love to see her adopted by someone who is home often, has a less active or older cat, and has the patience to work with her. Once she knows she has her own person, it won't take much time for her to warm up and trust someone.

Now, if you read this summary to her rescuer, Deb would shake her head in disbelief, as the ever ELUSIVE girl (born in April of 2021), ran wild around her NE side neighborhood for several years, ruling the roost, and bossing around the males that trotted along after her like lovesick puppy dogs:) In fact, we took her brother, Johnny Be Good, and several potential paramours, long before Loosey decided it as getting too cold to behave nonsensically. Go figure!

We know that indoor life threw her for a bit of a loop, but lovely Loosey is finally safe, surrounded by adoring humans who spoil her every single day and making up for lost time when she preferred the streets to the comfort of a cubby.
