MEET LONNIE!! We got a call about a stray 12 week old kitten that was suffering and her eyes were sealed shut closed and she was living out in the 108 degree heat! He was crying and begging people for help! Big shout out to Karen Elliott Rathbun for jumping in the car and going to rescue him and taking her to Mid-Cities Urgent care for treatment!! Lonnie had a bad eye infection and a severe case of ringworm!! Lonnie is now 1 1/2 year old and doing great! He is sweet and gets along great with other cats and dogs!! Want to meet this cutie? We schedule private meet and greets with approved adopters. Please email us for an application. We are a foster based program and we all work full time and are all volunteers. We DO NOT do out-of-state adoptions due to required home/fence checks and we prefer to do proper dog introductions with other dogs to make sure it is a good fit before adopting.
