Lola's Story
Lola came to use from Texas where her owner wanted to euthanize her due to a positive FIV test. FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) is a retrovirus that many cats carry, and it is absolutely not a death sentence. After initial infection, many cats remain asymptomatic for the remainder of their lives. FIV is not transmissible to humans, and cats with a positive FIV result are often housed with other cats who do not have the virus, as transmission occurs only through deep bites (NOT grooming, sharing bowls or water, shared litterboxes, etc.). You can read more about FIV here https://www.alleycat.org/resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/

Lola currently has several roommates and has shown no sign of aggression, preferring to live peacefully with her fellow felines. She responds to her name being called and is very social. Please give Lola the chance she deserves!

Please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.org and call 775-338-6631 for more information about this special cat.
