Lokie's Story

Hi! My name is Lokie! Although spelled differently, I am named after the Marvel character. I have his beautiful, sleek black hair. I can also be quite unpredictable – you never know when you’ve going to get “good Lokie” or “bad Lokie,” so it will take a cat savvy person to adopt me. I love being petting, but you have to watch for signs that I’ve had enough. I would probably do best as an only cat (I have known no other environment), but at the least a slow introduction with any current pets would be recommended.

I am fairly new to my shelter and have had a lot of changes in a short amount of time, which goes a long way in explaining my unpredictable behavior. I was adopted by a family and lived with them for 5 years. Unfortunately, they had to move in with family/pets who were not accepting of cats. I lost the only family I have ever known, I lost the the only home I have ever known, and I am now in a new and strange environment. Oh, don’t get me wrong. The volunteers and staff at my shelter are amazing! I’m just confused, scared, and sad. I would love to see if I would be a good fit in your Universe. I may not be “burdened with glorious purpose” as my namesake believed, but I will make it my overriding purpose to be the best pet I can be for you. Please make an appointment to meet me soon!

DOB 7/31/2018

If you're interested in Lokie, we ask that you please fill out a "pre-adopt application" that can be found on our website:
https//www.parkvilleshelter.com/adoption-application. We will contact you to schedule an appointment. Thank you.
