Meet Little Lodi

Ten-year-old Little Lodi was rescued as a frightened, abandoned stray-- discarded as though she were worthless-- with no sign that she had ever seen a veterinarian. The poor girl was in rough shape at the time: she had never been spayed and suffered from pyometra (infection of the uterus), dental disease so severe that she could not eat without pain, and matting so severe that merely existing was painful for her.

Fast forward to today: She has been spayed, so she no longer has pyometra; her dental disease has been treated and resolved, and her matts shaven, so she can now be pet without hurting. Lodi is a friendly little girl who didn't take long to adjust to her foster home. She clearly knew she had been taken out of a terrible situation and placed in a much better one, and she responded accordingly. She curls up in her foster mom's lap and eats treats out of her hand. This little girl is anything but worthless! We have not observed her with dogs, other cats, or kids; we think she would do well with kids who know how to treat a cat respectfully. Lodi would do best in an interactive home where she would not be left unaccompanied for long periods of time. She seems to be an easy cat, likely suitable for a first-time adopter. And, yes, she is a smaller-than average cat, but has a personality that will fill any home with warmth and love.

She has been:
- spayed
- given rabies and distemper vaccinations
- tested negative for FeLV and FIV
- treated for worms and fleas
- tested negative for internal parasites.

Her adopter will receive her medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. Her adoption fee is a mere $45-- a bargain for a new best friend who will love you with all her heart for the rest of her life. She's being fostered in Brighton.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to her and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for her as we try to match people with the right cats.
