Little Honey's Story

Meet Little Honey — Tiny Girl, HUGE Personality!

Sometimes the tiniest lives find us in the most unbelievable circumstances.

Little Honey was just a tiny kitten when she was found in the middle of a highway, essentially frozen in fear. Cars were literally driving over and around her, yet somehow this little girl stayed still enough to avoid being seriously injured.

Some amazing Good Samaritans saw what they believed might be an animal in the roadway. They stopped, got out, and discovered this tiny, terrified kitten. They scooped her up and contacted us immediately.

We rushed Little Honey to the vet, where we discovered just how much this little girl had been through. She had road rash, an infected eye, a damaged tail, and an upper respiratory infection. She was also severely dehydrated and needed fluids and antibiotics just to get her safely out of the woods.

Her recovery wasn't quick. In fact, it was a bit of a journey.

But Little Honey was determined.

She fought. She healed. And she absolutely blossomed.

Today, Little Honey is finally ready for adoption — and you would never know the terrified little kitten we met that day.

Well... almost.

Her past left her with a crooked, very stubby little tail and a unique-looking eye, but those are really the only visible reminders of everything she survived. What you see most clearly is a happy, affectionate little girl with an incredible attitude and what can only be described as a grateful heart.

And she LOVES her people.

Little Honey is extremely affectionate and has decided that if you are lucky enough to be her person, you are going to receive kisses. Lots of kisses. She will actually demand that you let her give them to you.

She's also a very petite little girl, but don't let that tiny body fool you!

Little Honey can absolutely hold her own. She has no problem standing up to the bigger, bully cats in her foster home and has made it very clear that being small does NOT mean being intimidated.

Oh, and one more important thing...

She answers to “Kitten.”

From a terrified baby lying in the middle of a highway to this tiny, confident, affectionate girl who demands kisses, Little Honey's transformation has been nothing short of amazing.

She survived something she never should have had to experience.

She healed.

She learned to trust.

And now she's ready for the part of her story we've been waiting for all along:

Her forever family.

Little Honey doesn't need someone to feel sorry for her. She needs someone who will look at her crooked little tail, her unique eye, her tiny body, and her enormous personality and think:

“Yep. She's my girl.”

Could that be you?

Fill out an adoption application and come meet Little Honey — also known as Kitten. We promise, if she decides you're her person, the kisses are coming.

Max Raven Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
The interested party fills out an adoption application off of our website. We check vetting of current or past pets to ensure they have been kept up to date. If renters, we call and check with landlord to be sure pets are allowed and they are aware. If homeowners, we check with county assessor to be sure they do own the home. We check with two references they put on their application. We do a meet and greet while simultaneously doing a home check. The meet and greet is also to introduce other resident pets to the potential adoption pet to ensure there is not out of the ordinary issues or aggression.
