Little Guy and Misty's Story

*Please note these cats are being fostered in Auburn, WA*

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Little Guy (4) and Misty (2) are a sweet bonded pair of former feral cats who are looking for a very special home together.

These two are incredibly shy with people and currently spend much of their day hanging out in their designated “safe” spaces. They’ve been in foster care since May, and while they’re still learning that the world is a safe place, they’ve made it clear that they can form beautiful bonds with someone they trust.

Little Guy is the more affectionate of the two once he knows you. He loves belly rubs and playing with strings, and watching him relax and show his sweet side is incredibly rewarding.

Misty is more independent and tends to keep to herself. She’s still figuring out who she is and hasn’t completely let her personality show yet—but we have a feeling there’s a lot more to this quiet girl waiting to come out.

Neither cat is aggressive. They simply need patience, understanding, and a quiet home where they can take things at their own pace. They may not be the cats who greet you at the door or immediately curl up in your lap, but earning their trust is something truly special.

Little Guy and Misty have each other, and we’d love for them to find a home together with someone willing to give them the time they deserve. If you’re the kind of person who understands that some of the sweetest relationships take time to build, these two might be the perfect pair for you.

What Little Guy and Misty are looking for in a home:

- They are new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers make them nervous.
- They will need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They will need to live indoors only.
- They have positive history with other cats
- They have no known history with dogs.
- They have no known history with children

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Consistent with Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV) guidelines, ACP follows current shelter medicine practices and does not routinely test every healthy, low-risk cat for FIV and FeLV.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Adjustable fee upon request for adopters who are low income, and seniors, disabled, or others with fixed incomes.
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in adopting Little Guy and Misty! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt her by filling out this questionnaire: alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Local Seattle applicants only, please.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding
