LITTLE GREY's Story

**No kids or dogs please** **Under-the-bed goddess: I will need ample time to warm up. Recommending a cat-savvy home** Hi! I am Little Grey. I am very shy - you will have to be very patient with me. Once you give me a room to call my own, plenty of time, and space, and no ceiling fan (or fan turned off, always), I really come out of my shell. After my introductory period, I can't wait for all the pets. I will come out of my shell/hiding space and greet you with a meow! I am a little bit of a bougee girl - I love wet food (patte is right out though, only the good stuff!), salmon is my preferred flavor, and if you give me Frisky dry treats I will love you forever. (Dry treats are your best way to befriend me and get me out of my shell.) I am not much of a toy gal. Really, if you are looking for a silent partner in crime, I am your gal. I need a quiet house (not sure how she is around kids and dogs), and I really don't think I prefer another cat but potentially I could tolerate another kitty. I met my foster mom's senior kitty and I'm comfortable around him but we certainly aren't cuddling. I’m currently in a loving foster home offsite! Please contact my foster parent, Amanda, at albishop26@gmail.com to inquire about me or set up a visit! Please allow up to 24 hours for my foster parent to respond. Inquiries are answered in the order received, and the foster parent will let you know your place in line if there are other interested adopters.

A meet-and-greet is required before adoption. Adopters should be available to meet within 48 hours of inquiring; otherwise, preference may be given to the next person in line who can meet sooner.

For everyone’s safety, current pets are not able to meet the foster animal before adoption.

After the meet-and-greet, you will have 24 hours to visit the HSPPR Adoptions Lobby (11:00am–4:30pm) to complete paperwork and finalize the adoption.

Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region's Adoption Policy
You’ll notice each pet will have an info card attached to their kennel with an ID number. Write down this ID number so a matchmaker can give you more information. You will also be asked to complete an adopter survey to help our matchmakers assist you in finding a new pet that’s just the right fit. We limit visitations to two pets per family, per day. This ensures everyone interested in adopting has the opportunity to spend time with their potential new family member. Puppies and kittens 5 months and younger are not able to visit before going home for adoption. Please speak with a staff member for details. Once your visit is complete, you will meet with a customer service representative. We will review any special medical or behavior information and offer tips on how to help you get settled in. Please bring a photo ID and review any pet restrictions that may exist within your lease/rental agreement, HOA bylaws, or city’s ordinances.
