Lion King and Half Moon (Bonded Pair)'s Story
Meet Lion King & Half Moon – Survivors, Best Friends, and Gentle Souls

Lion King & Half Moon have come a long way.

These two beautiful adult boys were rescued in February from a heartbreaking hoarding situation with over 40 cats and 1 dog crammed into a single home. When they were pulled from that environment, they were shut down, terrified, and at times even exhibited feral-like behaviors due to the overwhelming stress and lack of socialization.

But time, patience, and love in their foster home have worked wonders.

Now, after months of healing and decompressing, Joe & Bobby have started to bloom. They’ve learned to appreciate the calm and quiet of indoor life. They no longer flinch at every sound or movement, and instead have begun to relax, seek out attention, and show off their gentle personalities.

These boys are bonded, having leaned on each other through every stage of their recovery, and they must be adopted together. They are still on the shy side and will need a quiet, understanding home with adopters who are willing to give them time to adjust and settle in. But once they feel safe, they’ll show you just how much love they’ve been waiting to give.

Ideal Home:
Calm, quiet environment
Patient, cat-experienced adopter
No young kids or loud household dynamics
No dogs or only a very calm, cat-respectful dog

Lion King & Half Moon are looking for a second chance at life—a peaceful place where they can finally just be cats.

Ready to give them the loving home they deserve?
Submit an application to meet these two resilient souls and see how far love and patience can go.
