LINDY's Story

Meet Lindy, a young mama who has handled motherhood with remarkable grace. Very little seems to faze her. While her kittens scramble up cat trees and race through the house, Lindy is content to keep all four paws on the ground, quietly observing everything around her. She shes discovering how much fun it is to simply be a cat. Feather toys, fresh catnip, and long chin-scratching sessions are quickly becoming some of her favorite things. She will greet you when you enter the room and happily follow you around if you ask her.<br/>Lindy would happily head home with one of her kittens. She could also be an only cat. Calm, affectionate, and quietly playful, Lindy is ready for a home where she can finally be someones pampered companion.

Rhode Island Feline Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have a very detailed Adoption Application as well as an adoption coordinator system. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the adoption coordinator, vet records confirmed, residence status, renting/landlord information, pet permission, and employment verified then the coordinator conducts an interview with the potential adopter. If deemed a good match, the adoption coordinator forwards the information about the potential adopter to the foster. If the foster also agrees then they will have a meet and greet. At the completion of the meeting, if both parties agree the cat/kittens is a good fit an adoption contract is signed, and the adoption fee paid. We do not adopt on a first come, first served basis. All the cats and kittens in our care receive the following: checkup, spay/neuter, rabies & distemper vaccines, de-worming medicine, flea preventative, microchip, and Felv/FIV test.
