Linda and Loonette's Story

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Linda and Loonette, two bonded girls! They are approximately 2 years old.

Linda and Loonette both started their lives as street cats in Seattle. Linda was rescued from the International District and Loonette from near Madison Park. Both of these ladies were young mothers before being brought into rescue and spayed! Loonette raised her kittens in foster care and they were all adopted once they were old enough to leave mama. Once the kittens were adopted, Linda and Loonette met in foster care and quickly bonded.

We like to say that Linda functions as Loonette’s emotional support cat! These girls complement each other well and find safety and security together. They like to lay together cuddled up in beds or tunnels and will groom each other and play together!

Linda is a gorgeous long haired black cat with big beautiful eyes! Linda loves wet food and loves to climb her cat tower and settle in for a nap on top. She is a very affectionate cat once she warms up to you! Linda loves to have her belly and chin scratched and purrs like a motorboat! Linda loves to rub against her person for attention and bump her forehead into yours affectionately.

Loonette has soft, shorter black fur and an adorable little white tuft on her chest! Loonette also loves wet food and likes to play with cat nip toys and gracefully explore vertical areas like her cat tower. Loonette loves when her foster mom puts on cat TV and she gets to watch the birds or chase things in Cat TV games!

Linda and Loonette spend most of their time cuddling and if they’re not snuggled up together they can be found chasing each other and playing with toys together. These girls are truly bonded, they like to do everything together!

As a pair, Linda and Loonette offer the best of both worlds! Linda loves to be pet, is receptive to being held and is the braver of the two. Linda comforts and calms Loonette who is more tentative and is happy to exist in the same space as you but prefers not to be held.

Linda and Loonette have been through a lot in their young lives and are looking for adopters who will give them a place they can finally rest and live in the comfort and luxury they deserve! With love and patience they will be a wonderful addition to a family!

Together, they make a well balanced, beautiful pair!

What Linda and Loonette are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They’re new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.
- They can get nervous, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them feel comfortable with new experiences.
- They’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have a positive history with other cats.
- They have no known history with dogs.
- They have no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:
$200 per cat or kitten
$350 for pair of cats or kittens
$50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in Linda and Loonette!
