LILY's Story
LILY
DOB: Approximately 09/20/2024
Female, 7 lbs.

Little Lily is a sweet and gentle soul. She was left behind at an apartment complex on the Eastside of Columbus when she was just a kitten. She was scared and hungry and just trying to stay alive on her own. It was winter and no one knows where she stayed or how she survived on her own. A neighbor fed her when she saw and petted her and held her but thought that she “belonged to someone” at the apartment complex. She had to hide to avoid being attacked by dogs or wildlife and find food to stay alive…and she was just a little thing.

By the time spring came along the kitten (now 6 months old was pregnant.) She was scared and didn’t know what to do. When the time came she crawled into a dilapidated shed near the apartments and had 5 beautiful little beans. She was just a baby herself but she loved her beans (Finn, Melon, Piper, Benny & Speck) dearly. When they were just a few weeks old she led the neighbor who had been feeding her to the shed (the only person she trusted) and the neighbor knew then that she didn’t belong to anyone. She called us and when we found a foster family willing to take this little family, we scooped them all up and brought them “home.”

Today, sweet Lily is a gentle sweet soul. She still takes a bit to warm up…her life has been pretty rough for a kitten forced to grow up when she was still a baby. She is very sweet and she is learning to know that she doesn’t have to be afraid. She needs a person that will love her sweet gentle self and let her be a happy kitten for once….and finally be someone’s baby that won’t leave her behind.

----

If you are interested in learning more about this sweet kitty, please complete an online adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/251950332045046

We do not have a shelter or sanctuary. All pets are cared for in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted.

We require a home visit as part of the application process. We are only able to coordinate home visits where we have local volunteers.

All of the cats in our care and available for adoption have been rescued from shelters, the streets or from neglect or abuse situations. We do our best to determine the given breed or breeds of any cat or kitten in our program based on our experience and advice of professionals.
