Lily's Story
š Meet Lily

Lily is a beautiful young cat, estimated to be 1-2 years old, who came to our adoption center a few months ago as an injured stray. Her story is still somewhat of a mystery. According to the individuals who had been feeding her, Lily had been doing well, until one day she returned with what appeared to be a serious injury.

Concerned for her condition, she was rushed to the emergency clinic in Lima after hours. At the time, there were signs consistent with trauma, and an unusual substance was found packed into her ears, almost like wet clay. Despite evaluation and treatment, the exact cause of her condition was never fully determined.

Lily was treated with steroids, which helped significantly. She has since had multiple follow-up visits, a second opinion, and diagnostic X-rays, and the veterinarians involved in her care believe that Lily can go on to live a good, comfortable, and healthy life.

Today, she continues to do well overall, though she retains a slight wobble. If her history were unknown, she might be mistaken for having a mild form of cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that affects coordination but does not cause pain and does not worsen over time.

The most important thing to know is that Lily is happy, comfortable, and able to enjoy life. Her slight wobble is simply part of who she is, it does not define her or limit her ability to be a wonderful companion.

About Lily:

Estimated 1-2 years old
Spayed
Up to date on vaccines
Microchipped
FeLV/FIV tested
Dewormed

Lily is looking for a home that will appreciate her unique story and see her for the loving, resilient cat she is.
