Lily's Story

Meet Lily, a darling short haired tabby who somehow manages to be both stocky and petite at the same time. She has the cutest habit of zooming in diagonally to rub against your legs for pets, like a tiny affectionate torpedo. And when she wants face scratches, she hops right up to meet your hand in the sweetest, most polite way. It is impossible not to fall in love.

Lily’s story makes her even more special. She was part of a TNVR effort in 2025, but it was clear right away that she was not meant for life outdoors. Friendly, curious, and quietly chatty, she chose indoor life the moment she got the chance. Since joining us, she has completely stolen our hearts and proven she is 100 percent ready for a forever home.

Lily loves to be near her people and will happily follow you from room to room, yes, even to the bathroom. She enjoys being picked up, carried, and brushed, and she absolutely melts into affection once she feels comfortable. She may be a tiny bit shy when meeting someone new, but give her a soft voice and maybe a little baby talk and she warms up in no time.

Lily is more of a lounge and vibe kind of girl, but she still has her playful moments. She enjoys tunnels, cat trees by the window, and a good catnip toy. Her favorite place in the world is a sunny spot where she can nap and keep an eye on the world. A home with a window view or even a catio would be a dream come true for her.

She is quiet, gentle, and well mannered, with a soft purr that lets you know she is happy. She has great litter box habits, uses her scratching posts like a pro, and prefers wet food. She is not overly food motivated, but she does enjoy a calm, social mealtime.

Lily has experience around both cats and dogs. She has done well with other cats in the past. When it comes to dogs, she prefers to keep her distance and will avoid them, so she would need a calm, cat friendly dog who will respect her space. She would also do best with gentle, considerate children who understand her sweet and easygoing nature.
