Lilly's Story

Meet Lilly

Little Lilly is so lucky to be alive. She came from a colony of over 100 cats that had been horribly neglected, and even shot at! (Some were killed and left where they lay.) Rescuers arrived to find sick, emaciated cats in truly tragic circumstances.

Lilly arrived to rescue with her sister, who unfortunately died soon after, despite emergency medical care and her foster parents’ best efforts. It was heartbreaking.

But Lucky Lilly has now fully recovered from her earlier trauma and is a healthy, active girl. She’s super playful, curious and alert to every small noise or movement. She was also lucky to join two other kittens in her foster home, so she isn’t lonely any more.

Lilly should be adopted with another kitten or by a household that already has a young kitty to play and cuddle with her.

Given her past experiences, Lilly has no reason to trust humans, but with the help of a loving foster family she has managed to conquer her fears. She is still a bit wary of hands reaching out, so while she loves pets, they need to be at her discretion. Treats and Churus will win over this food motivated little girl.

The ideal family for Lilly will be experienced with cats and know how to be patient with her while she learns to trust. She is a sweet girl who will repay you with a lifetime of joy and affection.
