Lightning (special needs)'s Story
Lightning has really been through it. He kept trying to die on us until it was discovered he had a liver shunt. A very expensive surgery saved his life. An adopter will need to continue with one oral medication until his next blood test in April (paid for by PAWS) The surgery was a complete success and Lightning is an energetic, sometimes naughty kitten. He may not be appropriate in a home with small children and may be best as an only cat due to his inappropriate play style with cats. If you are interested in meeting this cuddly dynamo, please submit an application. Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received.

Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. The location of our Adoption Center PAWS at 7282 N. Cherryvale Mall Drive . Check out all of our adoptable dogs, cats and kittens on our website at www.pawshs.org. You can also contact us on our hotline: 815/299-PAWS.
