LIGHTNING's Story

Lightning came to our rescue as a kitten with his mom and two siblings, as strays. Now his mom and siblings have been adopted, and he's the only one still waiting for a forever home. He's a sweet, slightly shy boy, but very affectionate. He's about a year and a half old. He loves being petted and goes straight for the lap whenever he sees one! He's also very athletic, loves chasing toys, and is also very good at catching flies when one happens to be around. He gets along well with other cats, is litter-trained, neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Unfortunately he also has some anxiety issues, and started overgrooming his fur to comfort himself after his mom and siblings were adopted. This has caused some temporary fur loss, so he's a little patchy in some places. He's on anti-anxiety medication which has helped some, but we think what he really needs is a good cat companion to be best friends with. A loving human would surely help too! A quieter household may also be best for him. With a home like this, we think his anxiety will resolve and hopefully he won't need the medicine anymore.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and fill out the adoption application. After it is processed, we will be in touch for a meet and greet.
www.perrycountyanimalrescue.org
