Lieutenant Dan's Story

Hi… I’m Lieutenant Dan. Yeah, like the name says—I’ve been through a battle or two. I’m just a year old, but life threw something big my way. I was hit by a car, and it left my pelvis pretty banged up. The vet says I’m gonna make a full recovery, but right now I’ve got orders: strict crate rest for three months. Not exactly the adventure I had in mind… but I’m holding the line. I spend most of my days healing, watching the world from my little space, and dreaming about the day I can run, jump, and explore again. Until then, I’m doing my duty—resting up and getting stronger.

The thing is… none of this has changed who I am. I’m still one of the sweetest guys you’ll ever meet. I love people—like, really love people. I’ll purr the moment you come near me, and I live for soft pets, kind voices, and just being close to someone who cares. Even stuck in a crate, I’ve got so much love to give.

What I need now is my forever home. Someone patient, someone kind—someone who’s willing to help a recovering soldier get back on his feet. Three months of quiet healing, and then I’ll be ready to take on the world… right by your side. I may be down for now—but I’m not out!

Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our animals personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with them. Our fosters are available to answer your questions and will give you all the details you need to know about our cats such as if they are shy, are they outgoing, what is their energy level, are they couch potatoes, love bugs, kissers, lickers, so please do apply and ask our fosters questions - this will ensure you find your pur-fect match in our rescue!

***IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING LIEUTENANT DAN, PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AT WWW.MANYPAWSGLOBALRESCUE.ORG***

Many Paws Global Rescue Inc's Adoption Policy
Petfinder Inquiries are NOT an adoption application. If you are interested in adopting, you must fill out an application. After receiving an application via https://manypawsglobalrescue.org/applications-for-adoption/ , we call the potential adopter and explain our process and answer any questions they may have. After the initial call, we then call three personal references, vet reference and landlord (if applicable). Please understand that some animals will get several applications and our main priority is to find the BEST fit for each animal. We do not fully approve applicants until after the meet and great. Due to COVID, we have had to alter our home visits and are hosting calls via Zoom to see the home. In addition, we "Google map" to see what the traffic flow is around the home. After you submit an application, one of the Many Paws member will reach out to you via phone. If we feel the applicant may be a good fit, we set up a time for a meet and greet. Only after the meet and greet, if all goes well, we will then approve applicant and will finalize adoption contracts and fees.
