Licorice (Working Cat)'s Story
What is a working cat you ask, a working cat is a cat that gets adopted out to barns/farms due to their temperament and behaviors.

Out of the three working cats we have at the shelter, Licorice is the last one to intentionally hurt you, she would more than likely love being on a barn but also she would greatly benefit from someone willing to put in the time and consistency to convert her to an indoor cat.
This is because Licorice is just scared of everything however, you can pet her, lift her slightly to move her and she will just stare or lean into it, but if you pick her up entirely, she will try her best to escape which can result in some scratches, but again that isn't intentional it is her just trying to crawl and jump out of your arms.

Licorice's adoption will be $75.00, this covers the adoption, neuter, vaccinations, and micro chip!

If you think you have the time or facilities to adopt Licorice, contact the Blackstone Valley Animal Control at 508-883-BVAC (2822) or email aco@blackstonepolice.org. Applications can be done in advance or at the time of your meet and greet.
