Licorice launches himself into your arms.<br/><br/>This 3-year-old tuxedo gentleman is famous for his "flying hugs," a remarkable act of trust in which he approaches, makes eye contact, and then confidently leaps up for affection. Somehow, despite being 10 pounds of cat, he lands gently with all the grace of a majestic hawk and none of the talons.<br/><br/>Licorice is a world-class snuggler, an enthusiastic head-butter, and a devoted people-cat. Visitors? Potential friends. New faces? Future scritch providers. He may be a touch cautious at first, but it doesn't take long before he's asking everyone for attention and inviting them to participate in a game of 'Catch the Red Dot.'<br/><br/>When he's not distributing hugs, Licorice enjoys laser pointers, wand toys, chasing hair ties and clips, and batting around his favorite toy balls. He has all the interests of a true Renaissance man.<br/><br/>Licorice does have a medical history of stomatitis and is missing most of his teeth, except his canines. Because of this, he may require additional dental care in the future. The good news is that he's currently doing well, is eating comfortably, and seems much happier these days with fewer signs of mouth pain. To help him find the right home, his adoption fee has been waived.<br/><br/>He is affectionate, playful, confident, and wonderfully social. He isn't shy or skittish and would likely do well in a home with respectful older children who can appreciate his affectionate nature. He has previously lived with dogs without issue.<br/><br/>Licorice has a way of making people fall in love with him almost immediately. One hug, one headbutt, and you're done for.
