Licorice's Story
Licorice — lovingly nicknamed “Twinkle Toes” for the adorable white spots on his paws — is a gentle, incredibly sweet cat looking for a calm and patient forever home.

At first, Licorice can be a little shy with new people and prefers to take things slowly. But once he realizes you are kind and trustworthy, his affectionate side begins to shine through. He happily leans into pets, enjoys neck scratches, and quietly seeks out affection from the people he feels safe with. Beneath his cautious first impression is an exceptionally loving cat who truly wants to connect.

Licorice is also one of the most cat-social cats you could hope to meet. He gets along beautifully with other cats, avoids conflict, and often seeks out companionship from his feline friends — rubbing against them, curling up nearby, and happily sharing space with the other foster cats. He would likely thrive in a home with another friendly cat companion.

Despite being partially blind in his left eye, Licorice navigates life wonderfully and doesn't let it slow him down at all.

In his younger years, Licorice also lived with large dogs and adjusted well after some initial caution, though he has not interacted with dogs in recent years.

What Licorice truly needs most is someone willing to give him a little patience and understanding while he settles in. Once he feels safe, you'll discover an incredibly gentle, tender-hearted companion with the sweetest little “twinkle toes” around.

All cats adopted through To The ResQ have been examined by a vet, are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped with free transfer registration, combo-tested, and dewormed.

If you have any questions about Licorice, please contact us at ttr.adopt@gmail.com.
