Liberty's Story

I'm a very enthusiastic 6 month old spayed female kitten who was rescued from abuse. At just 6 wks old, I somehow found myself in a parking lot getting thrown, kicked and stepped on. Luckily, a hero heard me crying and risked her own life to save me. I was terrified and my body wouldn't stop trembling, but I felt comforted by the warm arms I was in and kept being told that I was going to be ok from that moment on. Shockingly, the only thing broken was my heart. After a short time, I healed from a minor leg injury and started chatting and demanding attention. Now, I love to sprint around and play with toys! I never knew I had so much energy and sometimes I just can't control myself! I'm not sure what "crazy pants" means but I hear it a lot! I'm learning that I need to take breaks when I get, well, crazy and I'm still learning how to accept petting and affection. I do get very hissy with other kitties and I can play defensive tackle with the best of them. But, I'm starting to think that others might be more fun to play with than to fight with. Doggies, energetic kids and loud noises definitely scare me, but I'm getting there!
