Libby's Story

Libby (brown tabby, ~2yo) is a beautiful, shy, petite girl from the Bronx who lived in a backyard. Her wonderful feeders adored her and her family and actually cooked (!!!) their meals 3 times a day, but unfortunately they were extremely allergic to cats and therefore could not get Libby accustomed to being pet or bring her inside. They brought her to us so she could be safe and socialized.

She holds onto her #1 lesson that meals/snacks equal safety and affection, so she trots over and rubs against our legs when she sees us squat down to refill her food bowl. She absolutely loves turkey lunchmeat and cooked+peeled shrimp! She is also very playful, looking forward to wands and string time with people or playing with catnip mice and ball tracks by herself. A great icebreaker for her is to toss her favorite mouse toys so she can chase it across the floor! When she is happy, her large doe eyes become deeper and filled with stars and we can see her sweet, wide smile.

She is very social and reliant on comfort from other cats, so we would recommend at least that you already have a friendly resident cat waiting for her to join the family.

Libby is vaccinated, spayed, FELV/FIV negative, and microchipped!
