Lex's Story

Lexington is a 1 year old neutered tuxedo boy with great litter box manners. I would definitely call him a Velcro cat. Lex would benefit from an adopter who is home often or a home where he can have a feline friend. He loves being near you and prefers to have some part of himself touching you. He is more lap cat adjacent. I find he loves to lay by my feet or beside my leg. He doesn't seem to like being held too long but when he does he seems to like being held in baby position. Lexington absolutely adores being brushed which makes his daily long hair routine easy. He readily gives up the belly for pets or brushing and it's actually not a trap! He loves batting around spring toys and scratching his post. Lexington is missing some toes on his front left paw from an unknown past trauma. This only seems to give him character and add to his cuteness. This boy does not have a mean bone in his body and is positively full of love.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
