Leon's Story

Leon “Leonard” loves to dazzle foster mom with his beautiful blue eyes. He was found as a stray and rescued from Bismarck Animal impound with frostbite to the tips of his ears and paw pads. After a few weeks of treatment and antibiotics his ears and paws are healed. He was quite frightened for the first couple of weeks in his foster home, but has started to come out of his shell and show his very curious and independent personality. He does well with dogs, and absolutely adores playing with the resident cats in his foster home. He enjoys being petted but prefers affection on his own terms as he is very independent. Besides his love of feather toys, laser lights, and cat towers, he also enjoys pulling tissues out of tissue boxes, unraveling toilet paper and paper towel rolls, and sitting in any card board box that is in his sight. He has also acquired a taste for Easy Cheese as a nightly snack before bed.
