Tiny but mighty: Meet Leo & Luna! <br/><br/>These two teeny-tiny kittens have already been through more than most kittens their age.<br/><br/>Leo and Luna were part of a litter of four, but unfortunately, their mom abandoned them. As sometimes happens with very young kittens, two of their siblings did not survive due to fading kitten syndrome. <br/><br/>That left these two little fighters in need of round-the-clock care — and their foster family has been there every step of the way.<br/><br/>They’ve been kept warm and cozy, given lots of meals, received Nutri-Cal to help give them the extra nutrition they needed, and have been watched closely as they’ve grown. They’ve also received their first vaccine and, thankfully, they’ve been steadily gaining weight. <br/><br/>But make no mistake... these babies are TINY. They still barely weigh 1 pound!<br/><br/>We’re going to start accepting adoption applications for Leo and Luna now, even though they aren’t quite ready to leave their foster home yet. We want to give them the time they need to continue growing strong and healthy.<br/><br/>When they are ready, they’ll be able to make one smooth transition from their foster home into their forever home. <br/><br/>Before they leave Jessamine Humane Society, they will be:<br/><br/> Spayed/neutered<br/> Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations<br/> Dewormed<br/> Given flea/tick prevention<br/><br/>For those interested in adopting Leo or Luna, the first step in our process is completing an adoption application through our website.<br/><br/>These little ones have fought hard to get this far.
