Leo's Story

Meet Leo! Born in rescue around the time of the Eclipse, this sweet and lovable boy was named after the stars. Leo is a funny, affectionate kitty who loves attention--though he might be a little shy at first. Once he warms up, he's all about cuddles, flopping onto his back and wiggling around to keep your focus on him. He's quick to jump into your lap and will happily rub his whole body against you for extra love! Leo is also a curious little helper who likes to "assist" with chores, even if his version of helping is mostly supervision. He gets along well with other kitties and does fine with the dogs in his foster home, though he is selective about new dogs. He would likely do best with small, calm pups, given time and a safe space to observe them from above. This charming boy is microchipped, fully vetted, and ready to find his forever home! PAWS of Adams County's Adoption Policy

You can find an adoption application on our website or a link below. You must have a good scoring with your veterinarian to adopt. Make sure all of your references know as well as your veterinarian that we will be calling. AN APPLICATION MUST BE FILLED OUT BEFORE A MEET AND GREET! Without a doubt, when you adopt a rescue dog, puppy, cat or kitten will put an instant smile on your face and you gain a wonderful companion! Once you fill out an application one of our application specialists will contact you as soon as possible. All of our dogs and puppies will be updated on their normal vetting including vaccines, microchipped, spayed/neutered, and heartworm tested, as well as on a heartworm preventative, before adoption. They all live in foster homes and have been socialized with work on crate training, potty training and trust (if needed).
