Leo's Story

Leo and his brother were abandoned by their owners in Chatsworth when they moved away. Sadly, this is a very common occurrence for so many pets. Leo and his brother got separated and Leo was left to fend for himself on the streets until someone found him and took him inside. His brother remained inside the house, no one was able to get to him and one day the owner returned and took him. Unfortunately his current status is unknown and every effort has been made to find Leo’s owner so they can be reunited.

This deserving cat needs a forever home. Leo has not had it easy and still suffers from some startle or trauma response from being abandoned and fending for himself outside but even those are gentle reminders to give him space. With time, he is regaining his confidence and trust.

Leo comes when you call him and is super playful. Posting a few of so many pictures taken trying to capture his amazing nature. None do full justice??He is so handsome!

He’s between 1.5 and 2 years old. His owner had not had any of his medical done. He is now neutered, had FVRCP and rabies vaccine and treated for fleas. The vet said he looks good and is very healthy.

Due to being separated from everyone he’s known, feline and human, he needs love and patience. He's a very special kitty. He has a mutated gene that is in 1 in 1000 that created his unique coloring. Litter box trained and eats really well. He has TONS OF ENERGY, and loves to play with toys of all sorts. He would be happiest in a home with other young cats.

For the holidays this year or as a New Year’s resolution to give back to your community, consider adopting a pet that is patiently waiting for a forever home. Saving one animal won’t change the world, but it will change the world for that animal.
