Leo's Story

Leo was trapped from a colony back in early 2021 and has been with us ever since. He loves to snuggle up with his foster siblings and play “dad” to them. How cute?! He doesn’t do well when his foster siblings aren’t around, so a home with another kitty playmate is a must for him. Leo is a sucker for treats, chasing laser pointer dots, and loves his wand toys.

We know this handsome guy has a face you just wanna smoosh and kiss, but he is still learning to fully trust humans. Coming from a life outdoors, people are very scary to him. Leo is not a lapcat (yet), which we know is why he is still with us. We know the perfect home and person is out there somewhere, though!

Leo is extremely skittish; however, his foster mom and dad are able to pet him when offering food. He is very food and toy motivated. Leo requires an experienced adopter who will love his sassy butt from a distance until he trusts them. We do not recommend a home with young children because he does not like to be held and enjoys his ”me time” with his kitty friends. Leo has learned to love the indoor life and is even set in a routine for feeding and bed time. Only thing this boy is not shy about is meowing real loud to let you know when he’s ready to eat!

Leo may not ever be a lap cat, but we have hopes that he will be so loved and spoiled by someone one day. Will it be you? His adoption fee has been waived in hopes to find him a home sooner!
