Lemon's Story
Lemon is a work in progress in the very best way — and every day, he’s choosing people a little more.

He came to us during a community spay/neuter event and has a tipped ear, meaning he was originally part of an outdoor colony. During his recovery, we saw enough softness and curiosity to give him a chance indoors — and we’re so glad we did.

Lemon is no longer hiding away. He spends his days near people, watching, learning, and building confidence at his own pace. He won’t come up for touch yet, but he stays close… and just two days ago, he almost climbed into a lap on his own. That’s huge progress.

He loves to play, and when toys come out, he forgets to be afraid. That playful, curious side is the key to his growth — and with the right person, it will continue to unlock trust.

Lemon will need:
• A patient adopter who understands shy, under-socialized cats
• Daily, gentle bond-building (play, treats, routine, consistency)
• A calm environment where he can continue to gain confidence

I’m more than happy to guide his adopter with a routine and approach that’s been working for him — you won’t be figuring it out alone.

He would also benefit from a confident, friendly cat companion who can model safe, relaxed behavior. (his previous buddy was adopted, but that dynamic is exactly what helped Lemon come out of his shell.)

One important note: Lemon is fully grown, despite his kitten-like size. We originally thought he was much younger, but veterinary records estimate him at around a year old, and he hasn’t grown since he arrived here 1/31/26. He’s going to stay small, about 4-5 lbs, which just adds to his charm.

Lemon is not feral. He is thoughtful, observant, and learning to trust — and the person who earns that trust is going to have something really special. We are in no rush to get Lemon out the door. He is a joyful presence in our home, and is one of those cats it will be hard to say goodbye to, especially because building trust with a cat like Lemon is its own reward.

Lemon's adoption fee is $250.

Apply to adopt Lemon: [https://tabbystinytabbies.org/adoption-application](https://tabbystinytabbies.org/adoption-application)

Support our rescue: [https://link.content360.io/tabbystinytabbies](https://link.content360.io/tabbystinytabbies)
