Lee and Eleanor's Story

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Lee and Eleanor, a sweet and playful bonded pair of young adult cats! They are approximately 2 (Eleanor) and 3 (Lee) years old.

Lee is a happy and social short-haired orange tabby, with white boots and chest. Lee loves being with people and joins his foster family in whatever room they are in to help them work, cook, watch tv and relax. He loves to rub on legs and to be scratched on his head and chin. If you have always wished to have a handsome house lion who lands in his laying positions with an audible big cat “thump”, Lee could be the cat for you! He loves active playtime with string toys, catnip mice, breakfast time wetfood and tube treats of all kinds.

Eleanor is a sweet and soft short-haired torbie (tabby & tortoisehell) cat with beautiful grey and orange splotches. She loves to spend her time relaxing in the sun in her window hammock watching the world, and getting full body pets there with people she knows. Eleanor is shy, but as she gets to know her people she loves to play with puffballs, toy mice and chase Lee around the house. Her foster family believes with the right adopter, she will one day want to be a dedicated cuddler and lap cat - a gentle girl in contrast to Lee’s big cat energy.

Together, they make the perfect pair to keep their forever family company with cuddles and fun..

What Lee and Eleanor are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They can get nervous, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them feel comfortable with new experiences.
- They’ll need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.
- They have a positive history with dogs.
- They need children to respect their space.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in Lee and Eleanor!
