Leah's Story
Leah is a survivor. I got her and her 4 kittens from a bad outside situation. But if you’re a mom with tiny babies to feed, most outside situations are bad. She looked a little off, the babies seemed a little small. Less than a day later we were at the vet, and she was in trouble. I’d found her crying and gasping for air as she was nursing her babies. It took about 3 hours to get her turned around. She had preclampsia. Her calcium was dangerously low. We left the vet with her calcium level much higher, and I bottlefed her babies briefly til she was feeling ok enough to nurse.

Leah was the first dangerously ill Mom I’d ever had, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget how she struggled that day feeding her babies. She’s a reserved but sweet cat. Very well-behaved. She’s a hero in my eyes. Would you like to meet her?
