Layla's Story
Hi! My name is Layla. I’m a gentle and snuggly girl. I like spending my days a finding an independent spot to nap so I can have lots of energy to snuggle on you all night. I like to sleep cuddled up on the bed most nights but sometimes I feel a little more independent. I’m quiet but I’ll throw you a meow if I really need something. My purrs sound like little bubbles popping and I give purrs out liberally. I’m a fairly quiet and calm girl but sometimes I get zoomies. I’m getting really good at jumping pretty high and I do like exploring. I’m not too interested in playing but sometimes I’ll bat a feather. I like to pick up toys on my own mostly. I especially like catnip toys. I don’t like being picked up or carried but I’ll let you if you really need me to go somewhere. I’m a very adjustable girl and once you have my trust we’ll be best friends forever as long as you let me sit in your lap and sleep with you. I’d do best in a single cat household, at least to start out but I have shown interest in other cats. It took me a short minute but I got used to a doggy and sometimes I even snuggle with her. I was a little spicy with the pup at first but once I knew I was safe we co-existed well. I can’t wait to meet you and find my furever home. Layla was born February, 2025.

If you live in Chicago and are interested in learning more about Layla, please contact Toni McNaughton at tonimcn@rcn.com and Lisa Ward at catladychicago@yahoo.com.
